Join the BBC's Bola Mosuro for a wonderful hour of music from up-and-coming artists from the continent.

We bring together the musicians featured in the BBC's highly acclaimed Africa Beats multi-media series.

Each of the eight stars recorded an acoustic version of a favourite song exclusively for the BBC, and the resulting videos were shown on BBC World TV and on the BBC website.

The music, and extensive interviews were also broadcast on BBC radio's Network Africa programme.

This special programme offers you the opportunity to listen to those songs again in full, and to hear what inspires and motivates this talented selection from a new generation of musicians from Africa.

The featured artists are Sarah Tshila (Uganda), Kidum (Burundi), Ahmed Soultan (Morocco), Carmen Souza (Cape Verde), Vieux Farka Toure (Mali) Atemi, Eric Wainaina and Christine Kamau (Kenya).
