Another chance to hear Pinchas Zukerman and colleagues from the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Toronto, where he is Music Director. They perform a chamber music miniature by the youthful Franz Schubert and Mozart's most extended, superbly eloquent quintet written in that prolific summer of 1788, just before his final three symphonies.

Two of the leading lights of Radio 3's highly successful New Generation Artist's scheme team up to sing Dvorak's poignant duets exploring the everyday lives and loves of people rooted in the Moravian countryside. Also on the programme are some of Strauss's sumptuous songs for his beloved soprano voice and strikingly original Auden settings by the young Britten.
