0301Boat2021090620220131 (RW)We're back on patrol with three North Wales Traffic Police mobile teams.

PC Dennis Babb, ex-Met, thinks he's seen it all but hasn't. He now faces his biggest challenge: spending all day in a car with PC Lee Cushion, a man so nai?ve he's never thrown a snowball or made an arrest. Sgt VINCENT PRICE, the ‘before' picture in an Anger Management advert, shares a car with PC Gavin Howells, very much the ‘after'. PC Wendy Williams, the Scouse Cagney, and PC Grace Bevan, the South Walian Lacey, are best mates who do some light traffic policing on the side. And Sian, the radio despatch op, is engaged to PC Howells and keen on signs saying things like ‘sorry coffee, this is a job for prosecco'.

This week it's Sgt Price's annual highlight: Speed Trap Day and escorting a super-yacht as it travels across north Wales turns out to be rather less than routine.

0401Breakdown2023042720231012 (RW)Everyone is in trouble, this week: Things don't look good for PC Babb what with the test results and his slightly unorthodox manner of handing in his notice. Meanwhile PC Bevan is also in trouble for supplementing her income by using the patrol car as a taxi and Sgt Price has been sent on a sensitive policing course. Fat lot of use that'll be.

The producers would like to make it clear that the hapless antics of North Wales Traffic Police are entirely fictional and any similarities between the police in north, south or any part of Wales is entirely coincidental - but also very funny.

Would you like fries with that?' It's all change for our friends in the now defunct Bravo Charlie unit of North Wales Traffic Police. They're now flipping burgers, mopping up spillages, walking dogs, guiding tourists or trying their very inexpert hand at reiki ... and work is no longer nearly as much fun. But things might be about to look up as their Whatsapp group chat springs into life...

Over the past 5 years on BBC Radio Wales we've been snowed in, rolled police cars down hills, rescued penguins, had arguments with trees, dealt with dead whales on Llandudno beach, jumped on and off a moving super yacht, boiled the kettle in an electric squad car, given Sgt Price a nervous breakdown and had him suspended after he shot PC Howells. We've been lost in the fog, found the bones of a long-lost Welsh prince, watched PC Babb jump through a ring of fire and discovered PC Bevan's previously secret Moroccan heritage. PC Williams was briefly a sergeant, PC Cushion tried yoghurt for the first time, and we all enjoyed far too many breakfasts at Barry the Pan. We've had two weddings, one baby, a divorce and a lot of laughs. All good things must end and this is our final half hour together.

The producers would like to make it clear that the hapless antics of North Wales Traffic Police are entirely fictional and any similarities between the police in north, south or any part of Wales is entirely coincidental - but also very funny.
