Things have moved on since the last series. The experiment of Frank and Fat Doug working together has foundered, so Frank has got rid of Fat Doug and his old business partner - Sarah Gold has moved back in. The other development is that Frank's marriage to DeeDee has finally folded. They share custody of their three year old son, Louis. So Frank lives with Debbie (twenty years his junior), another rep in the firm. Frank's old mate Mickey is set to tie the knot with Magda, a young Russian woman. Frank presses Mickey on what Magda does for a living. Micky is cagey but finally admits she's a pole dancer - but he's totally cool about it. It's not as if she sleeps with the punters. Frank and he go out on a stag night only to find that the female copper who turns up is not a stripper but a real copper. Magda has been arrested for stealing from a man in a hotel. Micky is nonplussed - what's this all about? It transpires that Magda has been working as a prostitute and to further complicate matters Micky is arrested for living off her earnings. Frank manages to get all the charges dropped. But Micky is devastated - why did Magda do it? Frank discovers that Magda has a family and a young daughter in Russia which she has been supporting through hard times. She didn't think Micky would understand. But he does - and the wedding takes place. But first they have to undergo the agony of a song sung by Micky. This week Debbie represents Caroline (a posh ex-good time girl) who has been stopped by customs at Manchester Airport. She's tested positive for cocaine and is supected of being a drugs mule - i.e swallowing bags of cocaine. She can easily prove that she isn't a 'Swallower' by taking an x-ray. But Caroline refuses - saying she is pregnant. This causes incredulity from the interrogating officer because she is the wrong side of forty. Meanwhile Sarah's sister, Bex is up from London. She breezes in, but Sarah suspects something is up. It seems that she is owed some money by a Manchester crook. Sarah refuses to help until a little family backstory is evoked. Debby is dispatched to ask the help of a friend of Caroline. But the friend casts her adrift. They have a shared history - but he's fed up of bailing her out. She's on her own. Debby suspects his involvement. The bags burst in Caroline's stomach and she dies at the airport.
