Britain's Blonde Bombshell - The Diana Dors Story

Honor Blackman pays tribute to actress and personality Diana Dors, otherwise known as Britain's Blonde Bombshell.

Born in 1931, Diana Fluck entered the acting profession at an early age after winning a modelling competition, and then became a trainee at J Arthur Rank's Company of Youth, otherwise known as the Rank Charm School.

Initially marketed as a home-grown sex symbol to rival Marilyn Monroe, her very public private life and some poor career choices compromised her success.

This programme traces her rise and demise, and her eventual acceptance into the hearts of the British public in the 1970's.

Producer: Paul Hardy
