A sitcom from Danny Robins, writer of the Lenny Henry comedy Rudy's Rare Records. This series is set and recorded in Sweden and stars Adam Riches, Danny Robins and some of Sweden's most popular TV comedy actors.

Geoff, a marginally successful stand-up comic from London, is moving to the tiny, cold and unpronounceable village of Yxsj怀 in northern Sweden - a culture shock forced on him by his Swedish girlfriend Linda's decision to move home to raise their child.

Geoff has to contend with snow, moose, pickled herring, unemployment, snow, Maypole dancing, snowmobiles, snow, meatball rolling, saunas, social democracy, snow, the weirdest pizzas in Europe, bears, deep forests, death metal, illegal alcohol, snow.

Above all, he has a new family to contend with. The Andersson's bewilder him - from father Sten who has a worrying tendency to growl like a bear and threaten him with any blunt instrument to hand, to Gunilla who threatens him with naked folk-dancing.

It's worth it all for Linda, of course - apart from her new found urge to conform with everything and except for her brother, a Goth with a propensity to set fire to things.

Adam Riches stars as the bemused and culturally challenged comedian abroad - recorded in Sweden with a Swedish cast, and written by Danny Robins.

It's three years since Geoff moved to the tiny north Swedish town of Yxsj怀 with his girlfriend Linda (Sissela Benn from the Swedish version of The Office). It has been quite a culture shock and they've been through a lot in three years - rotting herring, moose and bears, battles with language, perfect ex-boyfriends and ice hockey, the birth of a son, a marriage proposal and a runaway hot air balloon.

This year promises much as Geoff's mother-in-law Gunilla (comedian Anna-Lena Bergelin) teaches him Swedish and his father-in-law Sten (Thomas Orredson from Crimes of Passion) tries to make a Swedish man of him - in an entirely non-sexist way.

Geoff and Linda start to plan their wedding with the questionable help of fellow ex-pat divorcee Ian (Danny Robins), Linda's brother, depressive Goth Anders (award winning stand-up Fredrik Andersson) and fellow immigrant, Kurdish Dane Soran (Farshad Kolghi of The Killing). In this first episode, the Andersson family take Geoff on a road trip to Stockholm.

The series also features guest appearances from Krister Henriksson (the original Wallander) and Andr退 Wickstr怀m (TV Comedian and actor) as Linda's ex-boyfriend and a Viking called Lars.

The fourth series of the comedy following the fortunes of a British comic who has married into a Swedish family and is building a new life in Scandinavia.

The series is set and recorded on location in Sweden, written Danny Robins (co-creator and writer of the Lenny Henry comedy Rudy's Rare Records), and stars Edinburgh Comedy Award-winning comedian Adam Riches along with a cast of Sweden's most popular TV comedy actors.

We catch up with Geoff (Adam Riches) and Linda (Sissela Benn) as the generous period of Swedish paternity leave comes to an end. It's time to discuss sending their son John to dagis (nursery school) and launching Geoff onto the unsuspecting Swedish job market. This means Geoff must come to terms with conflicting attitudes towards health and safety, the sinister undertones of Pippi Longstocking and what happens when the entire staff of a Swedish office ‘kicks off'.

In his new, tiny, unpronounceable, Northern home-town of Yxsj怀, Geoff confronts the Scandinavian practice of ‘death-cleaning', the Mosquito Museum, white water canoeing and Swedish attitudes towards gender equality. His father-in-law Sten (Thomas Oredsson) becomes the voice of Geoff's conscience and Gunilla (Anna-Lena Bergelin), his mother-in-law, helps him make a commercial.

In this first episode, Geoff worries about trolls, mortality and poisoned blueberries.

The Scandi-com returns, starring Adam Riches and a cast of Sweden's finest comedians.

In his new, tiny, unpronounceable, Northern home-town of Yxsjö, Geoff confronts the Scandinavian practice of ‘death-cleaning', the Mosquito Museum, white water canoeing and Swedish attitudes towards gender equality. His father-in-law Sten (Thomas Oredsson) becomes the voice of Geoff's conscience and Gunilla (Anna-Lena Bergelin), his mother-in-law, helps him make a commercial.

The fourth series of Danny Robins' sitcom continues with fish-out-of-water Geoff, probably a herring, trying to acclimatise to his new life in Sweden.

So far, it is going well. He has married his Swedish girlfriend Linda (Sissela Benn), they have a baby John, Geoff is usually on civil terms with his Swedish in-laws, and he is now a fully-fledged Swedish citizen himself - at least, technically. But Geoff is still confused, entranced or infuriated by the unexpectedly Scandinavian on a daily basis. This year, Geoff has to learn about conflicting attitudes towards health and safety, the appropriate gender for a witch and how to get ahead on the Swedish comedy circuit.

We catch up with Geoff (Adam Riches) and Linda as the generous period of Swedish paternity leave comes to end. Little John is starting at nursery school and it's time for Geoff to launch himself onto the job market. When he finally lands a full time job, he finds himself working alongside his mother-in-law Gunilla (Anna-Lena Bergelin). This may be a challenge - until they find a mutual affinity for whisky, white water canoeing and the strange workplace tradition of 'kicking off'.

Adam Riches returns in The Cold Swedish Winter, Danny Robins' series of comedy and culture shock.

Recorded partly on location in Stockholm, and at times simultaneously between three countries, this romantic comedy features a line-up of some of Sweden's best known comic actors.

British comedian Geoff has settled with his Swedish partner, Linda (Sissela Benn), in the frozen north in the tiny, unpronounceable town of Yxsjo. This year he's up against British and Swedish views of viruses, his mother's (Mel Hudson) endless calls, cross country skiing, a predatory American cousin and, of course, his redoubtable in-laws, Sten and Gunilla (Thomas Oredsson and Anna-Lena Bergelin).

We join his family as spring breaks and Sweden faces lockdown, taking a very different path to its European neighbours.

Danny Robins' romantic Swedish comedy, partly recorded on location with a mainly Swedish cast, continues.

The little town of Yxsj怀 begins to come to terms with ‘the Covid' and turns its attention to the local economy. British comedian Geoff is now a Swedish citizen and fully (as he thinks) accepted into the bosom of his growing Swedish family.

But a fly lands firmly in the ointment, when an email arrives from a rich American Andersson (Nic Sampson) who's been tracing his genealogy and turns out to be a long lost cousin. The family Andersson fall in love with the go-getting cousin Wilb, especially when he offers to help out financially - but, of course, Geoff thinks he smells a rat.
