The CMA Awards show - hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood - is the most important night in the country music calender, the Oscars of the genre. It features the biggest stars of the year playing the biggest hits of the year and competing for the biggest prizes.

Joining Bob in the studio to play some of their classic songs are multi CMA winners Suzy Boggus, Pam Tillis & Terri Clark, and there'll be chat from 3 time CMA winner & broadcaster Kelly Ford and country star Thomas Rhett, literally en route to to his UK tour! Plus Big Machine label boss Scott Borchetta - the man who discovered Taylor Swift and Florida Georgia Line - gives Bob his take on the evening and marks our cards for the stars of the future.

Broadcasting live from Music Row in Nashville Bob Harris presents highlights of the annual Country Music Association Awards.
This year's nominations were dominated by 6 times CMA female vocalist winner Miranda Lambert, with five nominations. Vocal group Little Big Town, and country rock favourite Keith Urban also featured strongly with four nominations each. Country artists Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley co-hosted Country Music's biggest night for the 10th year running.
In this two hour show Bob presents a round-up of the winners along with the live performances from the awards show which was held in the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville. The programme features backstage interviews with reigning Entertainer of the year and country superstar Garth Brooks, duo nominees Brothers Osborne and members of the Campbell family who were in the audience to see a moving tribute to the late country legend Glen Campbell, performed by vocal group Little Big Town and Glen's longtime collaborator Jimmy Webb. In a awards show dominated by recent news events including the shootings at a Las Vegas Country festival last month, the night included powerful and moving performances from Carrie Underwood, Eric Church and an all-star band led by Hootie and the Blowfish front man Darius Rucker.
This show is the finale to Radio 2's coverage of the CMA awards which also featured Steve and the team broadcasting 'Steve Wright in the Afternoon' live from Nashville on the day of the awards.
