| Andrew McGregor and Pierluigi Petrobelli present an evening celebrating the music of the Italian composer Luigi Dallapiccola, whose centenary falls this year. Dallapiccola (1904-75) lived and worked during a particularly tormented period in European history, and his music is bound up with historical events in a remarkably intimate way. The breadth of the composer's vision is illustrated in music drawn from Radio 3's archives and recent performances by the BBC Philharmonic.
