She has chosen Schubert's setting of Psalm 92, composed to a Hebrew text and written at the request of and perhaps for a performance by Salomon Sulzer, the cantor at a new synagogue in Vienna. She's also chosen an excerpt from the unfinished opera Der Graf Von Gleichen, based on an exotic tale set in the Ottoman Empire, but addressing the serious issue of polygamy.

As well as Schubert's many songs, intended to be sung and played in the home, he composed a great deal of music for piano 4-hands, to be played by two pianists at one piano. Jeremy has fond memories of playing this uniquely intimate but still profound music.
