Tomoko Sauvage uses water-filled porcelain bowls and hydrophones for her electro-acoustic compositions; Kyoto-born, Berlin-based Midori Hirano aka MimiCof presents music from her album Moon Synch, created with the Buchla analogue modular synthesizer during her residency at the Electronic Music Studio in Stockholm; and Hatis Noit, the latest signing to Erased Tapes, is a unique, self-taught solo vocal performer, originally from the northern island of Hokkaido and now living in London. Her influences range from traditional Japanese gagaku and Western opera to avant-garde and contemporary pop vocalists.
