On Christmas Eve on BBC Radio 2, the nation's favourite choirmaster Gareth Malone presents two-hours of his favourite choral music from 10pm-midnight.

Best known for his TV show The Choir, Gareth will pick a personal selection of festive pieces including a mix of gospel, classical works by Bach, Handel and Byrd, modern acapella groups and favourite Christmas carols.

Gareth will be joined on the show by special guest, the grammy-winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre, one of the most popular voices in choral music today, who talks about his 'virtual choirs' which have brought together hundreds of people from across the world to sing together online.
