40 years ago Winnie Ewing won the by-election in Hamilton for the Scottish National Party and ushered in a new era in British politics. But the SNP campaign was planned and organised at ceilidhs, where counting the supporters was less important than singing. Veterans of that famous victory come together to remember the stories and sing the songs.
