The In Tune Schubert Salon. Sean Rafferty presents a special Schubert edition of BBC Radio 3's In Tune live from the Chapel at the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) as The Spirit of Schubert - BBC Radio 3's celebration of Schubert draws to a close. With live performances and recorded music, guests include pianist Graham Johnson who brings together Robin Tritschler (tenor), Marcus Farnsworth (baritone) and Joy Farrall (clarinet) to perform some of Schubert's most enigmatic lieder.

There's also the chance to hear the stellar lineup of Imogen Cooper (piano), Katharine Gowers (violin), Krzysztof Chorzelski (viola), Adrian Brendel (cello) and Enno Senft (double bass) perform Piano Quintet in A, D667 The Trout, the Trio in E flat, D897 Notturno and the Sonata (Duo) in A, D574.

Suzy Klein launches The Spirit of Schubert. 200 hours of broadcasting and over a thousand performances. For 8 and a half days Radio 3 presents the biggest ever celebration of Schubert, his music and his life.

With performances of all his completed music and unique broadcasts of his unfinished works, the first of our daily In Tune Schubert Salons through the season comes live from Kings Place in London.

Each day from 4.30pm to 7.30pm the In Tune Schubert Salon includes live performance from leading Schubert interpreters.

Pianist, Graham Johnson is our guest curator and each day introduces listeners to Schubert songs. Today a selection of songs (including An die Musik and St䀀ndchen) will be performed live by Ailish Tynan (soprano), Jennifer Johnston (mezzo), Robin Tritschler (tenor), and Marcus Farnsworth (baritone), with Graham Johnson at the piano. Plus the Doric Quartet will play movements from the Rosamunde Quartet, an ensemble from the Royal College of Music will perform movements from the Octet, Tom Service will be introducing his Schubert Lab which runs daily through the season and Sean Rafferty will be delivering his first Sonic Postcard from Schubert's home city of Vienna in a daily series giving listeners a vivid picture of Schubert's life and times.

Continuing BBC Radio 3's celebration of The Spirit of Schubert Sean Rafferty introduces songs written in 1815. He is joined live in the studio by the pianist Graham Johnson, sopranos Anna Leese and Ailish Tynan, and tenors Robin Tritschler and Alessandro Fisher.

At 5.45 Tom Service opens up The Schubert Lab again, asking how Schubert managed to compose so much music in 1815.

Plus Sean continues his journey in Schubert's Vienna, recorded on location in the city.
