And there are words from a host of artists, including the likes of Moktar, Azu Tiwaline, ZULI, and Rama from the Irsh label, Deena Abdelwahed, The Maghreban, and more. Jamz Supernova will speak to artists and creatives around the world to find out what a particular scene looks, sounds and feels like on the ground. As well as music and interviews, each programme will feature field recordings and sounds from the streets. The first half an hour focuses on a key contributor from a given music scene who explore its history and roots. In the second half of the programme, Jamz zooms out to follow some of the branches of the scene, hearing from artists across the world who have been influenced by it, and are taking those influences on to new places. In the second episode, Jamz will explore the Latin Bass music scene. Jamz dives into a global music scene to uncover the unique identity and sound. |
