Jordan is a singer, songwriter, musician and producer born in New Zealand and is currently based in London. He released his debut EP in 2013 and signed to Ninja Tune in 2017. He performs two tracks from his latest album Origin live in session especially for the show.

Jamie’s guest this week is producer, DJ and musician Quantic. He shares some of his favourite jazz tracks and discusses his latest album for Tru Thoughts.

Originally from Worcestershire, Quantic (a.k.a. Will Holland) lived in Columbia for several years, where he set up an analogue studio and released several albums. Now based in New York, his latest record brings together electronic and orchestral sounds. His music incorporates different styles from around the world including jazz, funk, salsa and bossa nova, and he has worked with the likes of Mr Scruff, Alice Russell and Nostalgia 77.

Sheila Maurice-Grey is the bandleader of Afrobeat 8-piece KOKOROKO and a member of jazz septet Nérija, and she has also performed with the likes of Solange, Kano and Little Simz.

She shares her influences and some of the artists that she is listening to right now.
