Muses And Sirens | 20181025 | Music depicting Muses and Sirens performed at the 49th Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Eastern Finland, presented by Sarah Walker, including Saint-Sa뀀ns's 'La Muse et le po耀te', which the composer referred to as a conversation between the two instruments instead of a debate between two virtuosos. Its improvisational structure is a deliberate strike against some German composers whose insistence on rigid form was, he felt, destroying music's soul.
