A few years after the war, Peppone, the communist mayor of a small town in northern Italy, is trying to have his baby son baptised.

The local priest, Don Camillo, is refusing point blank: might it be because they want to call the child Lenin? With Alun Armstrong, Joss Ackland, John Moffatt and Sean Prendergast.
