Episode 1: Dance Of Dice2022021320230902 (R4)The Gods, the law, capitalism and politics jostle for power in this modern adaptation of the ancient Indian poem Mahabharata. Dramatised as a gripping family epic set in 21st century Mumbai, this series is powered by the tensions and rivalries of a turbulent business empire.

One of India's biggest business empires is facing a crisis that threatens its very existence.

Fifty years ago, two brothers, Sanjay and Paras set up a small business that would eventually grow into Hasta Enterprises, a vast conglomerate encompassing everything from finance to hotels. When Paras died young from a heart attack, sole control of the empire passed to Sanjay, and for many years the money flowed in, power and influence accumulated. Recently however, Sanjay has started to show signs of ill health. Looking to the future, he prays to the Gods and decides to publish a will, setting out the future of Hasta Enterprises.

His choices plunge his family into chaos.

At stake is a vast business empire. The only thing rival factions can agree on is to let a game of dice decide the future.

An oligarch's sudden death plunges his family and its vast business empire into chaos.

Episode 2: Dance Of Dice2022022020230909 (R4)The Gods, the law, capitalism and politics jostle for power in this modern adaptation of the ancient Indian poem Mahabharata. Dramatised as a gripping family epic set in 21st century Mumbai, this series is powered by the tensions and rivalries of a turbulent business empire.

As one faction is revealed to have loaded the dice and cheated, the oligarch's family is plunged into a fresh crisis fuelled by jealousy and lust, ending in humiliation and exile.

Dhruv makes a simple offer to Yash - double or quits. The entire business empire will be put on the table in a ‘winner takes all' roll of the dice. But Dhruv is no longer content to just win, he wants to completely humiliate his opponent.

Now people are starting to question Dhruv's fitness to run Hasta Enterprises. The different family factions pray to the Gods for guidance. The bankers, lawyers and accountants broker a more pragmatic solution - one final game must be played with a new set of perfect, neutral dice. The stakes couldn't be simpler - Winner. Takes. All.

The stage is set for an epic conflict.

As family rifts pull the empire apart, the only way out is through humiliation and exile.

Episode 3: Dance Of Defiance2023101520240803 (R4)The epic saga continues as Yash and Padma arrive in Manchester to begin their four year exile. It's a profound shock. Now they are an ethnic minority in a country where race is an increasingly charged issue and, with no money, they are powerless to insulate themselves from trouble.

In Mumbai, Dhruv is working hard to reinvent his public persona and doing everything he can to secure his grip on power. His best chance of controlling Hasta Enterprises in perpetuity is to trick Yash into breaking the terms of the contract. He sends spies into Manchester's Asian communities to track down Yash and Padma and ensnare them.

The struggle between renewal and revenge puts huge strains on Yash and Padma's marriage as the philosophical becomes personal. Do they accept their new situation, or do they vow to return to India and settle old scores? The Gods had a hand in this too – where are they now when the couple need them most?

The answer comes in the form of Gopi in physical form as a poor, elderly Mancunian woman, but she remains as evasive and mysterious as ever. She moves in with Yash and Padma - a roof over her head in return for housekeeping duties. But Padma becomes unnerved by Gopi's familiarity with Yash and the influence she seems to exert.
