Max Richter's Introduction To The Scott Walker Prom

The award winning British composer explores the musical world around the Scott Walker prom, looking at how the contemporary classical and pop music worlds collide.

Max is a huge fan of Scott and has an intrinsic connection to him, which will be revealed in the show! Alongside some of Scott's music, Max will share some of his own and other artists working in this flourishing area.

Max is a leading light in post-minimalist composition and combining classical and electronic music. He co-founded the contemporary classical ensemble Piano Circus with whom he played for 10 years. He's worked with Future Sound of London, Roni Size and Vashti Bunyan amongst others.

His 8 solo albums to date, which started with 2002's acclaimed Memoryhouse, include his recomposition of The Four Seasons and his 8 hour opus Sleep.
