0201Football's Coming Home20200828Richie Webb stars as performance-shy cocktail pianist Nigel Penny.

Nigel Penny’s attempts to live his life like his music, in the background, are constantly thwarted by his entrepreneurial half-brother, Pav (Paul G Raymond) who is desperate to find gigs for Nigel and his musical partner, wannabe singer Rachel (Jess Robinson).

Attempting to entertain the crowd at a football match is a hard enough gig as it is, but when you hate football as much as Nigel does it’s an even trickier ask. Factor in Pav’s desire to make a quick buck, Stan’s paranoia that the Russians are still after him and Rachel’s obsession with Gary Lineker's Twitter account, and it’s a recipe for a pitch invasion.

0202O Little Town Of Letchington20200904Richie Webb stars as performance-shy cocktail pianist Nigel Penny.

Nigel Penny’s attempts to live his life like his music, in the background, are constantly thwarted by his entrepreneurial half-brother Pav (Paul G Raymond) who is desperate to find gigs for Nigel and his musical partner, wannabe singer Rachel (Jess Robinson).

Pav is supplying the ambience to the opening of an all-year-round Christmas store. And by ‘ambience’ he basically means Nigel and Rachel singing carols. The ghosts of Christmas past mean this can only be an unpleasant experience for Nigel. This is compounded by Stan’s attempts at securing a tree, Marco’s suspect catering promises and the manager of the store who fancies herself as Letchington’s answer to Mariah Carey.

Nigel Penny’s attempts to live his life like his music, in the background, are constantly thwarted by his entrepreneurial half-brother Pav (Paul G Raymond) who is desperate to find gigs for Nigel and his musical partner, wannabe singer Rachel (Jess Robinson).

Pav has booked Nigel and Rachel as the headline act at the Letchington Arts Festival. Or so he claims. While Stan attempts to find a disguise to enable him to attend without fear of being spotted, Nigel is left wrestling with his growing feelings for Rachel, the challenge of writing original material for the gig and his unfortunate physical reaction to camping. A reaction for which festival organiser Allegra has the perfect herbal remedy.

Nigel Penny’s attempts to live his life like his music, in the background, are constantly thwarted by his entrepreneurial half-brother Pav (Paul G Raymond) who is desperate to find gigs for Nigel and his musical partner, wannabe singer Rachel (Jess Robinson).

As Nigel tries to pluck up what little courage he has to tell Rachel how he feels, events overtake him. Marco’s dodgy meat-dealing on the dark web has gone awry and Stan suspiciously steps in to help by suggesting an elaborate ruse. Plans for a hastily arranged funeral are put into action and Pav is only too happy to help, though he also seems to be hiding something. Nigel is carried along for the ride, buoyed only by his certainty of a happy ending for him and Rachel. He’s fifty percent right.
