But it is Arts Centre manager Belinda - so usually the cause of much of his misery - who offers Nigel the chance of a lifetime: to write a jingle advertising the Arts Centre to feature on local radio. This is the chance Nigel has been looking for. This is his way out. This is his ticket to the fame and fortune that he so nearly tasted as a Young Musician of the Year Finalist in 1975. Will Nigel be able to make this opportunity count both on and off stage? Particularly as Nigel is in the middle of an OFSTED inspection - the impending results of which prey heavily on his mind. Almost as heavily as the prospect of the closure of Arts Centre, which Belinda is convinced is on the cards. So much so that she has started a 'Save Letchington Arts Centre' campaign - and she wants Nigel to front a protest song live on the local TV news. |
