P J Harvey Live From The Green Man Festival

Tom Ravenscroft continues his summer festival coverage from The Green Man Festival in the Brecon Beacons National Park with a live set from P J Harvey who will be headlining the Mountain Stage. Polly Jean Harvey, released her ninth studio album The Hope Demolition Project last year which became her first number one in the UK album charts and she has not played in Wales for more than 10 years. The Green Man Festival will be her only UK show in 2017. She became the first woman to win the Mercury Prize, when her Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea won best album of 2001. Ten years later, her album Let England Shake, a collection of songs inspired by conflicts around the world, won the prize. Tom will also be playing live music from Canadian multi instrumentalist Andy Shauf, The Shins, Conor Oberst and acclaimed experimental folk singer Richard Dawson who released his concept album Peasant set in medieval north earlier this year. There will also be an acoustic performance from the spellbinding Julie Byrne who first played the festival back in 2014.
