Duncan Stonebridge (James Fleet) is a backbench MP who is now struggling to defend a majority of 27 and wondering if it's all been worthwhile. But there are not many options for an MP who's been passed over for ministerial promotion and is considered a political liability ever since he fell off the stage during Question Time.

If that's not bad enough, Duncan has to deal with the impossible demands of his local electors, who naively think an MP can actually get things done.
