A performance by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Stefan Solyom as part of their Russian Winter series. Featuring Rachmaninov's Isle of the Dead inspired by Arnold Bocklin's painting of the same name, followed by his ever-popular Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini performed by one of Russia's leading young pianists, Alexander Melnikov.
