Rak Records Story

Suzi Quatro presents the story of the iconic British label RAK Records set up by Mickie Most in 1969 and whose artists, alongside Suzi included Herman's Hermits, Mud, Kenny, Hot Chocolate, Smokie, Arrows, Span, Racey and Kim Wilde.

Kim joins Suzi in the studio, along with Rob Davies from Mud, Mickie Most's widow Christina, Alan Merrill from The Arrows, Steve Harley of Cockney Rebel and producer Mike Chapman of the Chin & Chapman team, architects of the RAK sound.

Between them, their hits include 'Can The Can', 'Kids In America', 'Tiger Feet', 'I Love Rock'n'Roll', 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head', 'Make Me Smile (Come Up & See Me)', 'You Sexy Thing', 'Living Next Door To Alice', 'If You Think You Know How To Love Me', 'Stumblin' In' and 'Classic'.

As a label, RAK sold more than 60 million records worldwide, and as a studio and publishing company remains active today working wit the likes of Adele, Pink Floyd, Britney Spears, Joan Jett and Rod Stewart.
