The Return Of King Arthur

Bettany Hughes looks at Edward Burne Jones's last and greatest work, The Sleep of Arthur in Avalon, as the painting goes on special display to the British public after many years in obscurity. In the years immediately following his death, Jones went out of fashion and the huge canvas was sold to the tropical Island of Puerto Rico. Like the returning hero of the legend, however, the painting has come home.
