Rick and Don chat about how he started his career playing on a cruise ship before being spotted playing live in a London club and being invited to play with Cozy Powell. Don also treats us to a live version of one of his own compositions on the Elton John piano. And you can hear a live version of Fire by the Crazy World of Arthur Brown recorded at a session for the BBC back in 1968.

Rick also features Supertramp on the famous Trident Studio piano, Alan Price, Steve Winwood's work with Spencer Davis and Talk Talk, Billy Preston, Ray Charles and Jon and Vangelis.

Rick will also be joined at the Radio 2 Elton John piano by his son Adam, who will play live and discuss his father's influence on him and his own work with Black Sabbath, Annie Lennox, Will Young and Atomic Kitten among others.
