An old soldier is invited to attend the 40th anniversary reunion of the Normandy Landings. But why is he so reluctant to go?

For 40 years Dave has put behind him the fact that he landed on the Normandy beaches on D-Day – 6th June 1944. He doesn't remember his comrades with any special affection and has no wish to reminisce. But in June 1984 he goes back to the beaches to confront the many ghosts of the past… and one ghost in particular.
