Ian Rankin's period detective story follows the adventures of the roguish Mr Cullender in 1790s Edinburgh.
As the press gang roam the streets looking for likely lads to fight Napoleon, and while the town guard find themselves baffled by a spate of wine-cellar murders, Cully gallantly rushes to the assistance of a young lady in distress.
With Alexander Morton as Cully, and Mary Seager, Douglas Russell, Cara Kelly, John Buick and Monica Gibb.
Director Patrick Rayner.
