SBH:Item in R4 1800 Hrs News: report and ints. on the incident in West Belfast where two young people, Martin Peake and Karen Reilly, were shot dead at an army checkpoint.

PRE:Stolen car burst through army checkpoint on western outskirts of Belfast shortly before midnight. Peake, the driver found dead, Reilly died soon afterwards. Reilly (Karen's father) - just out for a joy-ride - army knew it - yet still used automatic weapons on them. Cope: had they stopped at the checkpoint, would have been arrested, and so on.
