For one afternoon only we have access to the inner sanctum of racing - the jockeys' weighing room.
Justin Hopper's drama set in the demanding and dangerous world of National Hunt racing tells the story of Noel, an experienced jockey anxious to get back in the saddle after a career-threatening injury.
Noel finds himself pitted against young conditional jockey Sean when he is offered a ride on Longbow, the favourite in Saturday's big race.
Sean exercises Longbow regularly on the gallops and has partnered him throughout his short career.
Now the owner wants someone more experienced aboard; he wants someone like Noel.
The doctor might have given him the all-clear to return to racing but Noel would still have to get down to 10 stone.
After years of wasting and sweating away the pounds, he's vowed never to go below 10-2 again.
But if he's serious about getting back to the top, can he really afford to turn down an opportunity like this?
Incorporating material recorded at a recent National Hunt meeting, this is a chance to hear what goes on behind the scenes as we accompany Noel throughout a day at the races he will never forget.
Lloyd Hutchinson (Noel) has just finished playing Lucio in 'Measure for Measure' at the Almeida Theatre.
