Three naturalists spend the longest day of the year in the wild place that is special to them. Although separated by hundreds of miles, their interwoven experiences create a picture of the nation's history and reflect on its future. Roy Dennis is in the Cairngorm mountains, Robin Crump is on the south-west tip of the Welsh coast and Erica Towner is under the wide skies of the East Anglian fens.
