Arthur Smith recalls the unique comic talent of Hardee who died earlier this year.

Hardee played a central role in the early development of alternative comedy, he was a legend within the comedy circuit yet largely unknown outside of it.

The stories surrounding him include Hardee driving a tractor through a fellow performers show at the Edinburgh Fringe, and stealing Freddie Mercury's birthday cake.
