One of Britain's best loved comedy stars relates his life and times. Written and read by Ronnie Corbett.

He was born in Simpson Memorial Hospital opposite the fire station, Ronnie tells us of his poetry loving mother and his energetic baker father devoting his time to self-improvement. His father also wasn’t tall but he was determined and fought in the Somme aged 16. He returned to Edinburgh tougher and bolder and in love with Ronnie’s Mum Anne May. Ronnie remembers preparing dough with his father on a Sunday night and other bakers’ wares in the house.

Ronnie wants to be an actor after he finishes school and National Service leads him to friends with similar aspirations.
