Kraftwerk - The Men Who Invented Pop

Kraftwerk's pioneering electronic sound kick-started genres from Hip Hop to Techno and has influenced contemporary bands in a wide range of genres. The programme examines the four piece from their 70's evolution to their status as one of the most sampled bands in modern music and asks why they have influenced such a broad spectrum of contemporary sounds. Presented by Alex Kapranos from Franz Ferdinand, contributions come from other long standing admirers including David Bowie and Underworld through to 21st century disciples like Mylo and Hot Chip.
